Bake Scones & Craft Lemon Curd: Make and Enjoy Tea-Time Essentials in a London Home

1 hour and 30 minutes

Easy

Join two sisters to bake classic British scones and make rich, intensely lemony curd using the family recipes we grew up with, before enjoying everything warm with jam, clotted cream and a pot of English tea.

Step into one of our welcoming North London kitchens for a relaxed, hands-on introduction to two much-loved British teatime classics, hosted by sisters Claudia and Giselle.

We’ll begin with a welcome drink before tying on our aprons and baking together in a small group. Using the family recipes we grew up with, you’ll learn the techniques behind beautifully light, buttery scones and make a rich, intensely lemony curd from scratch. Along the way, we’ll share practical tips and little details to help you recreate both recipes successfully at home.

Once the baking is finished, we’ll gather around the kitchen table to enjoy your freshly baked scones while they’re still warm, served with your homemade lemon curd, jam, clotted cream and a pot of English tea.

Whether you’re visiting London alone, as a couple, with friends or with family, this is a warm and sociable way to experience British baking and hospitality. Our small groups give everyone plenty of opportunity to get involved, ask questions and enjoy the conversation.

You’ll leave with new baking skills, lovely memories and both recipes, ready to make your own British afternoon tea at home.
