Bake Scones & Craft Lemon Curd: Make and Enjoy Tea Time Classics in a London Home

1 hour and 30 minutes

Easy

Bake classic British scones and whisk up smooth, zesty lemon curd, then sit around our table to enjoy them with a pot of tea, jam and clotted cream.

Join us in our North London family home for a relaxed hands-on baking experience celebrating two much-loved British classics.

You'll make:

  • Scones – light, buttery bakes that are traditionally served warm with clotted cream and jam at afternoon tea.
  • Lemon Curd – a sweet, silky spread bursting with bright citrus flavour, delicious on scones or straight from the jar!

We'll begin with a welcome drink before putting on aprons, rolling up our sleeves and getting baking. Along the way, we'll share plenty of baking tips you can use at home, hear the stories behind these classic recipes and relax in a calm and sociable atmosphere.

Once everything is ready, we'll celebrate your baking around the kitchen table, enjoying what you have made with a fresh pot of English tea.

Whether you're travelling solo, with friends, family or as a couple, The Good Crumb offers a warm and welcoming way to spend a morning or afternoon. Our groups are deliberately small, so there's plenty of opportunity to ask questions, learn new skills and enjoy getting to know your fellow bakers. You'll also receive a link to all the recipes afterwards, so you can recreate everything at home.

Curious for more? We also offer a longer experience where we make scones and  lemon curd, plus crumpets - a favourite British bread cooked on the stove, with distinctive holes to soak up sweet or savoury toppings. This afternoon tea experience is great if you’re looking for more fun, skills and knowledge about British baking.
